my week in pictures 76

monday 10/27 - sunday 11/2

Last week was an awesome one! On Tuesday me and Pat went to look at yet another potential wedding venue... and guess what? We finally found a new one! (More on that in another post). Other than that, during the week I worked on out costumes, and enjoyed some crisp fall weather.

Friday night Pat decided to decorate the house, grab some candy, and hand it out to trick-or-treaters again, and then we wandered through the neighborhood a little bit to check out other people's set ups before watching some Halloween favorites.

On Saturday we slept in, packed our stuff, and then headed to Portland to surprise our friends at their party. After our foggy/rainy drive we met up with Brad, Alia, and their baby girl Henley for some dinner at Che, and then checked in to our hotel to get ready. The party itself felt like college again, and I loved surprising everyone! I have a lot more pictures which I will throw up here tomorrow.

Sunday morning we headed to Alberta to grab breakfast at Pine State Biscuits with Tony and Alex before making a quick stop at the Nike Employee store, and then heading back over the pass for home. Another super short trip (which seems like all we have time for these days), but it was well worth it.

monday 10/13 - sunday 10/19

The week summed up in a few words: nights out, the venue hunt continues, exploring country roads, wild ride, shopping in Bend is super awkward (to my never ending frustration), our leaf situation is brutal, endless raking...

[[ that one time we tried to leave no tip for terrible service and make a clean break, but i left my purse and we had to go back. dinner and drinks at drake. exploring another potential venue. country roads in lower bridge. beers and snacks at wild ride in redmond. ugly clothes for days. round one in the war against the leaves. ]]

monday 5/12 - sunday 5/18

I was very very happy last week when the weather decided to heat up, giving us an almost full week of warm days and sunshine, which gave me personally the chance to show off my (super pale at the moment) legs and even don some sandals. On Tuesday it was so nice out that me and Pat decided to take a walk up the street to Worthy to grab dinner and beers and sit in the sunshine. It was perfection. I also noticed our yard is finally looking springy and beautiful with a ton of new flowers sprouting up every day, so I went around and snapped a few pictures. I even got our orange lawn flamingos (courtesy of Tiffany) in place.

On Friday Pat's friend James and his wife Rachel came in to town, so the weekend consisted of (you might want to sit down for this one) more breweries, and Cards Against Humanity... the "a party game for horrible people" that everyone always wants to play. They were in town for their anniversary and wanted us to join them for a "fancy" dinner, so we went to The Blacksmith on Saturday and ate a really really delicious meal complete with dessert. I don't know what got in to Pat, he ordered a chocolate brownie instead of the creme brulee, that never happens! Oh, and of course as the food was set down I promptly took pictures of everything... obviously. They took off on Sunday and since the weather was a little stormy (and we were exhausted) we literally sat around ALL day and watched the entire first season of Black Sails, it was much needed.

monday 4/7 - sunday 4/13

Last week we got our first glimpses of warmer weather and sunshine. I was super grateful and spent as much time outside as possible, which meant lots of reading and relaxing on the hammock. We even had our first BBQ of the season! On April first I also started this intense (for me anyway) Pilates workout regiment which requires me to workout six days a week for about an hour of strength training and cardio... think lots of burpees... Only time will tell if this yields any lasting appearance effects, but I can definitely feel myself getting stronger.

monday 2/3 - sunday 2/9

I have one word for you... SNOW.
Snow, snow, snow. So much snow(ing) this week, non-stop for three days, and I loved it! In fact, almost all of my pictures are of snow, because we got 18 inches and I was pretty much snowed in all weekend since I dropped Pat off at the airport on Thursday for New Orleans. (Did I say snow enough times?) I also messed around with my hair to perfect my ombre look (which I missed since letting it grow out), tried some really weird home remedies, and attempted/failed to shovel our driveway solo. Luckily, one of my super nice neighbors came over with his snow... blower... thingy... to help me out so that I could go to work on Monday!

[[ before all star pat always gets one nice dinner in, early valentine's day. he really loves shell fish... work day at br. the start of the snowpocalypse. our neighborhood on day 2. working on a little ombre action. experimenting with super weird home hair treatments... yes, thats ketchup, the blonde looked a little too ashy, and it worked! chillin with some festive socks. the massive amounts of snow on day three. attempting to shovel the driveway to free my car. super nice neighbor coming to help. our beautiful backyard. the official measurement. ]]
