happy thanksgiving

I am headed to Bend to celebrate Thanksgiving with Pat's family, and will be gone until next Tuesday! As usual, I am most excited for mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. I am also excited for the Civil War this weekend!
(and nervous).


Here are some of the things I am most thankful for in my life right now:

- long weekends
- my amazing and gigantic family
- my loverly fiance and bff who I love very very much
- my bestest friends
- the big changes that are coming up next month... (more on that later) :)

treasure hunting

I have not had time to do much web exploring this week, let alone compile a midweek inspiration post for this week with all of this moving going on. Things are starting to fall in to place more, but there is a lot of work left to do. As I put stuff away I keep stumbling upon silly little things from my past I had completely forgotten about, like a jewelry box filled with items from elementary school through high school that I have not thought about in years. I still have yet to determine which items will be kept, but I do have a plan for "renovating" the box itself.

I also found tons of old notebooks from high school and my freshman year of college back when I was 18. Those I had to spend some time looking through because they are pretty entertaining. No wonder I did not learn anything in statistics class... My note pages are completely filled with little sketches and notes!

urban update

I have a lot of work ahead of me tonight... robots robots robots. I have some pictures of the process so far, but I want to save those for tomorrow. I also scratched my eye earlier, and it is not being friends with the computer screen right now. So, for today, I am going to keep it extremely brief and show off some sweet alterations I made to the new Urban Outfiitters catalogue last night. (you should never leave sharpies, or any writing utensils laying about around me, I am bound to find some scrap paper and doodle all over it). I think it is much improved. What do you think?

new years resolutions

Everybody thinks about them... this year I decided to write some of them down. Let's see how well I do with numbers two and five. I have a few more plans for the future as well... but they all involve me working towards a niche of my own, so I will group that in with number 10.


First off, and most importantly:
- Always be good/true to myself and others. ♥

At exactly 5pm my four day weekend begins! Yay! I am super excited to get away to Portland for a weekend and see my friends, family, and maybe do a little christmas shopping. although snow is still lingering the roads are clear and that is very good news for me. I also decided that I would rather leave tomorrow morning, that way I have plenty of time to pack and get ready before I leave. Fingers crossed that traffic is not a huge mess.

i am thankful for

-  my loverly boyfriend: I am so beyond happy that I have you in my life.

-  my family: I love and appreciate all of you.

-  my friends: I feel really honored to have such a great group of you!!

-  my job: I am so thankful to be employed and have a steady income.

-  my house: I am happy to live in such a nice place while I am in Corvallis. 

-  me & Pats biggest purchase together.

-  the health of myself and those around me.

-  mashed potatoes, green beans, turkey, and most importantly... pumpkin pie!

-  so many other things that i will not bore you with.

I am ready to fast forward. I miss normality.
August and September have been really hard months...........
A lot has changed.

I start to do better, but then something reminds me of you. Pretty much everything reminds me of you.

I have been listening to Degausser non stop since this weekend. I think its really sad. I think its really beautiful. It confuses me. It makes me cry. I cant get away from it right now. Sad songs are all i want to hear.
